It gives us great pleasure to welcome you to the 8th European
Conference on Health Economics (ECHE2010).
The biennial European conference has been designed by the European
Conference Committee of the International Health Economics
Association (iHEA) to rotate among the European countries and
falls between iHEA’s related world congresses. The 2010 conference
will be hosted by the Finnish Society for Health Economics in
beautiful Helsinki, the "Daughter of the Baltic Sea" and capital
of Finland.
Together with the world congresses, ECHE2010 offers the principal
platform for leading researchers with an interest in health
economics. This facilitates sharing of results, policy debate and
knowledge exchange and also contributes to the foundation of
networks in addition to improving the quality of research on
health economics. The theme of the 2010 conference is
Connecting Health
and Economics.
Living in a country with great variety in seasonal changes, we are
happy to invite participants to join the ECHE2010 Conference
during the warmest and brightest period of the year and sense the
unique quality of our northern climes as well as the beat of the
city. We are confident that you will enjoy both the scientific
programme and the social events.
